Pallapatti Higher Secondary School students demonstrated outstanding performances in the recent sports competitions held today under the auspices of Muthayammal Educational Institutions, Rasipuram.
In the throwball tournaments, our school teams secured first place in both the under-14 and under-17 categories.
- Under-14 Throwball:
PHSS won their first match against PAGHSS Omalur with scores of 35-17 and 35-31. In the final, they defeated Pudukkottai Vairam Matriculation School convincingly with scores of 35-18 and 35-23 to claim the championship. - Under-17 Throwball:
The team secured victory over RC Sacred Heart Rasipuram in the opening match, 35-23 and 35-25, and went on to win the final against Little Flower Matriculation, Salem, with scores of 35-24 and 35-27, earning the first place title.
In football competitions, the school teams also made a strong impression:
- Under-14 Football:
PHSS won the opening match against Glaze Brook Public School, Salem, by 2-1. In the semifinal, they defeated GS CBSE School 3-0. The team competed in the final against Goal FC, Mallasamudram, where they finished as runners-up after a tight tie-breaker with a 2-1 scoreline. - Under-17 Football:
PHSS reached the final and secured second place after a competitive match against Holy Cross Matriculation School.
Additionally, in the shuttle badminton tournament:
- Under-17 Category:
PHSS won their first match against Chengalpattu with scores of 11-9 and 11-8. - Under-14 Category:
The team won their opening matches against Ranipettai and Chengalpattu (11-9, 7-11, 11-9) and advanced to the quarterfinals.
