The Karur Revenue District Level Table Tennis Tournament was recently conducted at Venus School in Karur. School teams from five educational zones participated in the event, competing with enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
In the under 19 category, students from Pallapatti Higher Secondary School delivered a commendable performance in both the doubles and singles events. In the doubles category, our team faced Bharathi Matriculation Higher Secondary School from the Thanthoni zone in their opening match. It was a well fought game, and our students secured victory with scores of 11 to 8, 9 to 11, 11 to 8 and 11 to 9.
This win led them to the finals, where they competed against Kongu Matriculation Higher Secondary School from Karur. After a tough match, our team earned second place at the district level, marking a proud achievement for the school.
In the singles event of the same category, our student athlete showed strong determination and secured third place, further adding to the school’s medal tally.
The efforts and sportsmanship displayed by our students reflect their dedication and the strong support from our physical education department. Their success continues to motivate and uplift the spirit of the entire school community.
